We Honor Veterans

Hospice of the Foothills is a proud partner of We Honor Veterans, a pioneering program developed by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) that addresses the unique needs of our nation’s Veterans who face life-limiting illness.

Veteran patients may have more complex health issues due to their military service. Through collaborations with other community providers and Veterans Administration staff, we have learned how to walk alongside our Veterans at the end of life’s journey.

Throughout the year we offer a variety of workshops and special events that both inform and educate care providers and the community about Veterans and their families’ special needs at the end of life and how to increase their access to hospice and palliative care.
