Sixty and Shifting

Dear Friends and Community,

I am writing today with mixed emotions. As many of you have heard, I am retiring from Hospice of the Foothills in June of this year. I turned 60 this year and it is time to shift my energy and focus to my family.

Working here at Hospice of the Foothills has been the role of my dreams. To get the opportunity to serve and support a community and a staff of this caliber is humbling and has been an incredible honor. It has also been an incredible amount of fun. I have made friendships that will last a lifetime, and I have seen innumerable acts of kindness and love as Hospice of the Foothills staff and volunteers have cared for our community.

Your Hospice of the Foothills Board of Directors is well on its way to selecting the next Executive Director, and I will have plenty of time to work with and orient the new ED to this amazing group of folks at Hospice of the Foothills and the network that supports them.

I will try not to be too sappy over the next few months but can make no promises, this agency will always be a part of my heart.

I truly am one of the lucky ones -- who gets to finish their working career in the role of a lifetime.

With love and gratitude,

Viv Tipton

Executive Director, Hospice of the Foothills
