Certified Support Dog

Len Jasiunas and his dog Ember have been one of our Pet Visitors since Spring of 2021. Len and Ember visit patients for Hospice of the Foothills as well as other residents that live in local facilities.  Ember, a certified support dog, knows to stop and visit with all patients that are in the halls to give them a sweet hello. 

Len and Ember have been inseparable, but it is time to retire Ember from service as her health is declining. She has been an amazing comfort to all patients she sees, giving love and affection to those who look forward to her visit.  As we bid happy retirement to Ember, she will still come by for a visit to Hospice of the Foothills when she feels up to it.  Len will carry on as a friendly visitor to our patients whenever possible.  Thank you, Ember, for your service and love.
