Donations
Hospice of the Foothills Gift and Thrift stores are a wonderful way to support Hospice of the Foothills. Bring your donations of new and gently used items and shop for some great buys! Hospice of the Foothills Gift and Thrift stores accept all items that are in good, clean and resalable condition. There is a short list of unacceptable items. Please contact the manager at the store of your choice to check which items cannot be accepted. All donations are tax deductible.
Hospice of the Foothills Gift and Thrift also accepts vehicle donations. Vehicles must be in saleable condition, even those in need of some repair. If you would like to donate a vehicle, please contact the general manager at 530-265-6500.
Volunteers
Hospice of the Foothills Gift and Thrift appreciates our volunteers. Our volunteers are like a family many of whom have worked at Hospice of the Foothills Gift and Thrift stores for over a decade. Dedicating just four hours of time per week is all that is required. Our thrift store volunteers help keep customers happy and our stores stocked with desirable merchandise at bargain prices. Hospice of the Foothills Gift and Thrift stores need volunteers who can:
- Receive donations and sort merchandise
- Ring the cash register
- Assist customers in a variety of departments
- Steam clothes
- Tag clothes
- Test electrical equipment
Some volunteer work can be done from home such as sorting jewelry, material and sewing notions. Start your volunteer service today at a Hospice of the Foothills Gift and Thrift by calling our general manager at 530-265-6500.
